Remember the good ole days, when we would get together, enjoy delicious pancakes and then take a hike to see and hear the migrating birds at Birds and Breakfast? Or when we would sit in the amphitheater and enjoy the Pike River Benefit concerts? Recall spending a late summer day looking at wonderful, handcrafted art at the Walk in the Woods Art Fair and then taking home a few pieces that would make great gifts? Remember running into old friends at these events; greeting them with big hugs and kisses? Well, those days are gone for now, but will return again in the future.
Hawthorn Hollow has relied on these social events to raise funds for our operations. Lately, as all of us do our part to stay healthy, we find ourselves standing alone, six feet apart. We need your help.
Please consider making a donation so we can keep our gates open and continue to be a resource for our community to connect with, and enjoy nature. Your contributions will help us preserve the nature sanctuary and historic buildings, improve the waters of the Pike River, and provide experiences for you and your family that will last a lifetime.
We are all feeling anxious during these uncertain times. Time spent outdoors, in nature, can help alleviate that anxiety and reduce the stress that comes along with it. Along with your donation, please consider visiting and taking part in an upcoming program, where we practice social distancing, naturally.
As a non-profit organization, we are not supported by your tax funding. We are solely sustained by donations and grant funding. Hawthorn Hollow greatly appreciates all you have done for us in the past and hope that you continue your generosity during this strange time.
We would not be here without your support. Thank you.
