Membership
Enjoy all this beautiful Sanctuary has to offer by becoming
a member of The Friends of Hawthorn Hollow. All membership contributions
are used to support Hawthorn Hollow's mission to be a unique
educational resource for the region. Hawthorn Hollow offers numerous
public programs, manages trails for outdoor exploration and protects
a critical natural resource.
Membership has its privileges! Receive and be recognized in
Hawthorn Hollow's quarterly newsletter. Benefit from seasonal
program announcements and reduced rates for special programs.

Annual Fund Drive
The Annual Fund Drive provides a vital source of unrestricted funds, which support everything from our arboretum and gardens to the purchase of maintenance equipment and support of our educational programs.
Hawthorn Hollow receives no government funding and relies on
community-based support from people like you.
Your gift is essential and ensures that Hawthorn Hollow advances its mission to cultivate appreciation, understanding and stewardship of our natural and local heritage through environmental education and sanctuary preservation.
Levels of Support
Naturalist - ($50 - $250) As a Naturalist you will be providing immediate maintenance support,
and you receive an income tax deduction and other possible tax savings.
PRESERVATION CLUB:
Meadow - ($500) Join the Club which includes
all naturalist benefits, and recognition on the appreciation
board
outside the H. Chris Hyslop Nature Center.
Prairie - ($1,000) Includes all the benefits
above, and a one year membership to the Friends of Hawthorn
Hollow.
We will also send you tickets for special events and include you in our Walk in the Woods Art Fair brochure.
Woodlands - ($2,500) Includes all the benefits
above, and, underwriting and recognition at the Pike Creek
Concerts.
Arboretum - ($5,000) Includes all the benefits
above, and, a tree planting in your honor.
Legacy Society
A charitable planned gift can guarantee the continued development
and preservation of Hawthorn Hollow for future generations. The
Legacy Society is made up of those who indicate that they are
including Hawthorn Hollow in their will or estate plan. Most
bequests are usually given as a percentage of one's estate, a
specific gift amount, or a residual amount. You may also consider
making Hawthorn Hollow a beneficiary of a life insurance policy
or retirement account. If you choose to include Hawthorn Hollow
in your will or estate plan, name us as The Hyslop Foundation.
Your support will stay with Hawthorn Hollow, all undesignated estate gifts are added to the Hyslop Foundation's general endowment fund providing a permanent source of funding. You may also designate your gift to a specific program, project or activity of your choosing.
Corporate Sponsorship
A variety of events and programs provide innovative marketing opportunities for sponsors at all levels. Corporate philanthropy enables the Sanctuary to actively move on its mission, in effect the stewardship of our natural and local heritage. A partnership with Hawthorn Hollow demonstrates an important commitment to the environment and to the conservation of the natural world.
Tribute or Honor Gifts
COMMEMORATIVE BRICK - ($50) A personalized engraved brick at the entrance of the H. Chris Hyslop Nature Center
ADOPT A TREE - ($200) An existing tree within our 40 acre sanctuary Choose from a variety of existing plantings and dedicate the perfect one for the life of the plant. The plant will be tagged and a plaque installed on the exterior wall of the H. Chris Hyslop Nature Center.
MEMORIAL TREE - ($500) A new tree will be added to our Arboretum or Grounds in your name, or dedicated for a friends special occasion, or in memory of a loved one for the life of the tree.
MEMORIAL BENCH - ($1,000) An existing Hawthorn Hollow bench located in a beautiful natural setting will be dedicated with a plaque installed with your inscription on the bench.
