2017 Wildflower Walk Series
hosted by Restoration Ecologist Lori Artiomow

Come walk the trails and look for the flowers of the season with Hawthorn Hollow’s Restoration Ecologist. You will see what is in bloom in Hawthorn Hollow’s prairies and woodlands and get to identify unusual flowers. Walk the grounds of Hawthorn Hollow and see and learn what’s blooming.  Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Instructor Bio – Lori Artiomow is the Restoration Ecologist at Hawthorn Hollow. She enjoys exploring the history of landscapes and how they change over time. She is currently working to restore the Original Prairie back to its former glory and is managing the woodlands to promote more oak, hickory, cherry regeneration, and improve the spring ephemeral diversity of the woodlands.

Fee: $4 for members, $9 non-members. (fee is per session)

Hawthorn Hollow has a great display of woodland spring ephemeral.

Saturday, September 16th – Wildflowers of the Season – Fall Begins – 10am-noon
Fall is officially here! Let’s see what’s blooming and what has gone to seed.
